Job Description:
The marina manager is responsible for all aspects of marina operations and marina management, including on boarding and training staff, facility and dock maintenance, boat slips, marina forklift and equipment, boat rentals, and to facilitate the fulfilment of financial goals and company initiatives.
The marina manager projects a professional company image through all types of interaction.
As this is a fast-paced environment, must be able to work under pressure.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Day to day management of business Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
Recruit, train, supervise, schedule, discipline, review and direct staff.
Provide safe and courteous service to all customers.
Coordinate with industry vendors for parts, materials and supplies.
Adhere to operations policies, procedures and practices.
Coordinate with local, state and federal agencies for annual compliance to regulations.
Respond to customer inquiries and concerns.
Ensure and take appropriate action for the proper maintenance of all marina equipment, property, grounds, floating and fixed docks.
Respond to phone calls and emails on a daily basis.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Education &
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Min 3yrs experience Experience in managing multiple projects at one time General accounting knowledge Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to swim.
Must be able to operate a vessel.
Ability to exercise good judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.
General seamanship knowledge, boating right of ways rules, basic navigation, inshore and offshore mooring techniques.
