Summary:
The primary task of the Barista / Sales Associate is to greet customers positivity and professionally and take their orders for bakery goods, breads and beverages.
This position will also provide items to the restaurant serving staff.
Other main tasks entail handling transactions for customers on the cash register, processing credit card payments and providing customers with the proper change.
May also answer phones and occasionally provide directions for customers.
May also help customers exchange or return merchandise and, sometimes, even handle customer complaints.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following:

Greet guests and take food and beverage orders Receives cash drawer at beginning of work shift and counts money in drawer at beginning and ending of shift to verify it?s accuracy Itemizes and totals food and beverage orders or rings food and beverage checks into register.
When credit cards, debit cards or personal checks are presented as payment, a food clerk needs the skills to verify and record identification from standard forms of identification like drivers licenses or passports May reconcile checks, cash receipts and charge sales with total sales to verify accuracy of transactions at the end of the work shift.
Correctly answer customer inquiries Box/Package a variety of products Stock various products on shelves.
May need to take inventory and fill out certain inventory reports Maintain a clean and sanitary work area by dusting off shelves, wiping displays/counter, sweeping and mopping Must follow food service guidelines Must be 18 years or older.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
