The responsibility of a Blending / Machine Operate is to ensure all correct ingredients are used in a correct and food safe manner.
Your job will be to prepare and fulfill orders fast and correctly so we can provide high-quality customer service This position reports directly to the Batch Processing Supervisor The following is a list of duties and responsibilities, this is not all inclusive list:
Responsible for checking all ingredients for the correct lot number, expiration date and quantity.
Fill the blender or kettle with ingredients following steps on batch record.
Operate, clean, and maintain high volume, blending machine equipment necessary to complete production requirements.
Regularly lift and carry heavy containers, and perform all duties of the job in a safe manner.
Work unsupervised (after training completed), pay attention to detail; Follow all GMP and SOP requirements.
Maintain routine written logs and records.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other operators.
Read batch records, operating instructions, and safety regulations.
Other duties assigned by Supervisor Required Skills & Abilities:
Ability to bend and scoop large quantities of ingredients Excellent communication skills Ability to speak, read and write in English Eye for detail and accuracy Reliable, with high integrity and strong work ethic Ability to work as part of a team Professional appearance and attitude Proactive organizational skills Education &
Experience:
1-3 years of restaurant experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive grasping, lifting, bending, and reaching.
Exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezer, outdoors, etc.
) Will be required to spend the majority of time on his/her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours Responsible for moving or lifting an average of 10-60 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 60 pounds Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, ladders, step stool and box cutters.
Proper PPE must be worn when working in manufacturing areas.
