us/project/employment-opportunities/ Wastewater Plant Operators perform operations and maintenance assignments within the City's Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Typical duties include collecting and analyzing routine wastewater samples, monitoring and adjusting the performance of the treatment plant, and ensuring compliance with applicable environmental requirements.
Other duties include performing scheduled maintenance duties on the various mechanical components of the plant such as pumps and mixers, as well as maintaining online water quality monitoring instruments.
Education:
Required--High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
Utility operations experience or a wastewater operator's license may be required for licensed positions.
No wastewater operator's license is required for Trainee candidates.
Experience in utilities operations, industrial operations, mechanical maintenance, environmental compliance, or a related field is beneficial.
