$30K - $37K a year 7 days ago 7 days ago 7 days ago The Golf Course Maintenance Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the grounds and golf course.
This includes landscaping and maintenance of the entire grounds and upkeep of the golf course greens to Wentworth Golf Club specifications.
This position reports directly to the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Maintains golf course by mowing, trimming, edging, top dressing, treating turf-landscapes and mowing fairways, putting greens, tees, and rough Trim trees, pull weeds, plant flowers, shrubs and trees as needed Changes cups and tee markers Maintain and clean equipment and performs repairs as appropriate and reports equipment problems or failures to supervisor Attends meetings as required Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance issues Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas Assist with landscaping and groundskeeping duties as needed Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Other landscape/ maintenance projects as assigned by supervisor Required Skills/Abilities (education, prior work experience, special skills, etc.
) Must be able to follow verbal and written instruction and be able to communicate effectively with others Knowledge of power tools and hand tools commonly used in maintenance work and familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues Reliable transportation Must be able to operate golf course equipment, including a mower, top dresser, blower, golf cart, weed eater, chain saw, edger, trimmer, shovel, rake, water hose, hand tools and other equipment.
Must be able to safely lift objects weighing up to 60 pounds Must be comfortable with working outside in a variety of weather doing a physically demanding job including- stooping, squatting, carrying, pulling, pushing, digging etc.
High School diploma or equivalent required At least 6 months experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping Experience working on a public or private golf course preferred Job Types:
