In collaboration with the Nurse Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for all the following duties and responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to customer service, financial management, regulatory compliance, human resource processes, staff competency, performance improvement, policy/procedure development and compliance, and regular communication with department staff. Under the direction of the Nurse Director, the Assistant Director provides leadership and oversight with all unit functions and patient care issues on a day-to-day basis. Duties and responsibility may occur outside of typical office hours.
+ Previous two (2) years nursing management experience
+ Thorough understanding of hospital policies, procedures and legal aspects of acute care nursing
+ Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
+ Basic computer skills
+ Previous experience with Cerner electronic medical record
+ Three years? experience in acute patient care
+ BSN or higher degree
+ Registered Nurse with licensure in the State of Florida
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and others as required by department
+ Certification in area of specialty within two years of accepting position

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
